Here are some events that CEF has held in the past and hope to hold in the coming year!
The Annual Fall Gathering is held in September. The evening consists of Music, Hermans’ BBQ & all the Fixin’s, a $5000.00 Reverse Raffle, a Live Auction, a Silent Auction, a Bucket Raffle, a 50/50 Pot, a $250.00 Scrip Raffle, and Tips. A fun filled night for the adults to help support our schools! Co-chairs: Ann Herman & Debbie Thomas.
“Vegas in Vincennes’ Casino Night is held in January/February and is proved to be a genuine winner! Held in the Highland Community Center, this event consists of fun and exciting Las Vegas Casino games. Appetizers and desserts provided by Pea-Fections. Co-chair: Tammy Catt.
In the last several years, the Vincennes Catholic Schools and the CEF have held raffles for major projects, including a new roof for the Annex, a new school bus, and in the fall of 2012 for a new boiler at Rivet.
Knox County Fair Booth
Serving famous breaded tenderloins, the Vincennes Catholic Schools now has a food booth at the Knox County Fair in July. Come out, enjoy the fair and support our schools! Chairman: Debbie Thomas.
Held in March and November at the Highland Community Center, this Sunday afternoon bingo is extremely popular and profitable! Chair: Carol Hunckler.
Held at the Country Club of Old Vincennes in May, this golf match has 20-25 teams competing. Donors sponsor holes, donate prizes and/or compete. Chair: Sara Webster and Andrea Hostetler.
Rendezvous Sausage Booth
Another great tradition is the Patriot Sausage Booth at the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous in May. Visitors come back every year for bratwurst, polish, whole hog and Frenchwurst, a sausage made only for Rendezvous. Chair: Mike Murawski.
Held each August and a long-running tradition in Vincennes, Germanfest patrons enjoy German food, German music and good cheer. Chairman: Don Halter.
